Upcycling Swing Tags

https://www.sumoftheirstories.com/blog/turn-garment-swing-tags-into-gift-tags As a way back to papercrafting, I have used "Sum of Their Stories" as inspiration. Asking friends for some swing tags, it is surprising how many people save them. I have recycled some 14 tags into gift cards so far. Some have Liberty Of London paper.

Origami Paper

I have used origami paper to cover some pencils and a pencil box. The paper was found at the op-shop and so pretty

Before the year ends I thought I had better post some of my Christmas cards. I had an order for 12 cards.

Simple cross in light mauve metalic paper, placed on magazine paper. I needed something quick to mail.

I am pleased with the way these Christmas trees turned out

Christmas Candle

Decorating with a quilled wreath of holly and a quilled bow. the cardboard wreath is stuck to candle with double sided tape.

Time For Creating Christmas Cards

I have been using up scraps of paper for these cards. Also beads from my stash along with some bright Christmas buttons.

Re Purposing

I made many cards yesterday using some paper and stickers I picked up at destash market. I turned toadstools into Christmas bells LOL Once you turned the paper over the shapes worked out well.

Altered Rulers Become Bookmarks

These are easy enough to do with tutorials online. I used Liquitex Gloss Medium and Varnish to glue magazine paper to the plastic rulers. The ribbon came from my stash.

Blue on Blue

I made blue spiral roses from business envelopes to see how they would look. And the recycled paper looks quite good on this card.

Repurposing a Jar

Aussie themed washi tape has made this jar very pretty. The jar was a freebie from our church op-shop. Once I soaked the label off and washed the jar it was ready to decorate.

Easter Egg with Washi Tape

Using small pieces of torn washi to decorate eggs. Butterflies feature as a symbol of the Resurrection.
