3 Framed Quilled Pictures

I made these for a gift  with the colours requested,  but I had a free reign with the rest of the design.  Embellished with jewel dots, stickers and vellum and scrapbook paper.

Christmas ornament

I recently attended a craft show and was keen to try quilling with these mats. They from an Aussie company and there were many that would combine well with quilling.
It is about 10cm in diameter.  I have used scrapbook paper for the backing and quilled holly and a dove in keeping with the Christmas theme.
I may add a bow at the top - I will have to hunt through my ribbon box for a suitable colour.

Waiting in the Wings

These are for a church  give away at a community day in November, with a theme of Designs of Christmas.
I added some sparkle in their eyes.
I will be making many simple ornaments for giving away at a workshop later in the month.
The idea comes from the book "Christmas Crafting in No Time" by Claire Youngs

Too Early For Christmas?

It does feel a tad too early,  but I need to plan for a class next term and wanted to do a card with an Australian theme for the students to try.
This is flowering gum on a wreath of gum leaves. Our flowering gums come in many different colours and the red looks ideal for Christmas.

......So I just did a quick one.
I love the coppery coloured bling and I matched it with apricot coloured roses.

Staying out of the heat and doing some cardmaking today.
I used some free paper from "Creative Cardmaking" magazine, by Hunkydory Crafts Ltd.
Quilled roses and ribbons are ideal for these old fashioned sentiments .
