Sweet Leaves Blog Hop

Thank you for blog hopping around the world and stopping by in Australia.  Hope you enjoy your travels.

The leaf I choose to feature is the variegated holly.
And as I love wreaths and it is close to Christmas, I decided to make the wreath below.

I have a lovely old book published in 1950 called "A Wreath of Flower Legends" by Rose Sydenham Dugdale  for inspiration and it has a Norse legend  about the holly.
There are many  legends surrounding the holly and its red berries.  Quite often in various stories, the vivid berry is depicting blood.
Thanks to the

 for organising the blog hop.
If you would like to be part of my give-away( it will be a surprise quilled Christmas ornament)
please leave a comment.
Now continue on your merry way and view all the blogs you have yet to visit.

  7. Oh Bronwyn, the project you chose is so unique. I too am fascinated by all the legends of the holly leaf. I think it is the hardest quilled shape to make and yours are all perfect. Thanks for sharing, I love your wreath project!
